Choreographie: Dr. Tonja van Helden (Ph.D)
Tonjas Arbeitsgebiete sind Tanz, Theater und Choreographie. Sie hat sich spezialisiert auf die Erkundung von Gesten und Körperbewegung im Ausdruckstanz, wie er sich im 20 Jhd. entwickelt hat.
2017 hat sie mit der Musik von Strawinskys „Sacre du Printemps“ eine Choreographie zum Gewalt – Thema bei einem Kunstvoll-Projekt von Theatre4You mit dem Titel „Eskalationsrisiko“ beigetragen.
Zuvor hatte sie die Tanznummern der Revue von Theatre4You „Sag beim Abschied … Scenes and Songs of Love and Loneliness“ (2017), „Blaubart – Hoffnung der Frauen“ sowie „Die Acht Frauen“ von Robert Thomas choreographiert.

In January 2017 she taught Contemporary Cabaret for the International Theatre School Association. She taught workshops in January 2020 on Creative Expression & Movement for ISTA (International Schools Theatre Association). She has choreographed for Living with Lady Macbeth at the Frankfurt English Theatre.
She presented a lecture/demonstration at the Society of Dance History Scholars at the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University on her research about contemporary dance video and documentary. Her dissertation titled, „Expressions of Form and Gesture in Ausdruckstanz, Tanztheater and Contemporary Dance“is available and published by ProQuest.com.
